About Novura
Novura is a small canvas-printing studio based in Kosovo. We print one piece at a time, by hand, on professional equipment we own and operate ourselves. No drop-shipping, no white-label resellers, no print-on-demand middlemen.
Most "premium" canvas brands online are reselling the same third-party prints from the same factories. We started Novura because we wanted to build something where we could vouch for every piece, because we made it. If a print isn't right, it doesn't ship. If a frame corner isn't square, we redo it.
We're transparent about our equipment because the equipment is the work. There's no magic in canvas printing, there's a real printer, real inks, and a real piece of cloth. The difference between a cheap print and a Novura piece is the inks, the canvas weight, the operator, and the time spent finishing it. Here's exactly what we use:
Mimaki CJV160 printer
Industrial-grade large-format printer used by professional photo labs and signage studios. 1440 dpi resolution with 8-channel CMYK + Lc/Lm/Or/Lk colour profile for accurate skin tones, deep blacks and saturated golds.
Mimaki SS21 eco-solvent inks
Archival pigment inks rated for outdoor signage durability, indoors they're effectively permanent. Low-odour, GREENGUARD-certified, safe to hang in bedrooms and nurseries from day one.
380gsm poly-cotton canvas
65% cotton / 35% polyester blend with a fine-tooth weave. Heavier and denser than the 280-340gsm canvas used by most online print shops, sits flat on the stretcher without sagging or rippling.
Hand-stretched & inspected
Each canvas is stretched by hand over kiln-dried pine bars, corner-folded, and inspected under daylight before it leaves the studio. We reject anything we wouldn't hang ourselves.
Protective satin laminate
Optional liquid laminate adds UV resistance and lets you wipe the surface with a damp cloth without damaging the print.
Tracked dispatch in 3 days
Each piece is made to order. We don't hold stock, we don't drop-ship, and nothing is printed until you order. Tracked carrier dispatch within 3 working days, EU and UK delivery in 10-15 days.
We're a young studio. We don't have 50,000 customers or thousands of reviews, yet. What we do have is full control over how every piece is made and the willingness to replace anything that doesn't meet the standard on the box. That's the whole offer.
